Europe’s carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) market has moved beyond policy development into a critical phase of regional integration and ecosystem expansion. Strong regulatory frameworks such as the Industrial Carbon Management Strategy, CO₂ storage regulations, and the Connecting Europe Facility have laid a solid foundation for industry growth. The next step is to optimize implementation across member states and regions, foster collaboration among EU industrial clusters through coordinated policies, maximize infrastructure utilization, efficiently mobilize industry resources, and broaden stakeholder involvement, ensuring a resilient and scalable CCUS value chain.

The Carbon Capture Europe Summit 2026 (#CCES2026), taking place on 11–12 March at the World Trade Center Rotterdam in the Netherlands, is Europe’s leading event dedicated to advancing CCUS development within the context of a new energy economy.
